Narangba (4504)
Brisbane Northside 34 km to the CBD’s north, Narangba was originally a farming land but has recently been transformed into a major residential – industrial hub in response to Brisbane’s population pressure. Increasing, a more modern, executive class with young families are calling Narangba home and commuting into Brisbane for work. This is because it is ideally situated on major rail and road transport linking Brisbane and the north coast.
Several planned communities have sprung up in response to this so that Narangba has several village shopping centres, schools and is well surrounding by parks and native bushland, home to many birds and animals. In 2011, 16,00 people were resident with an average age of 31 years, most being born in Australia, England or New Zealand and speaking only English at home.
