Murarrie (4172)
Murarrie (4172) is situated on the banks of the Brisbane River 8 km on the Eastside of the city. Primarily industrial, it has been home to the printing facility of Brisbane’s newspapers. More recently, its proximity to the city and regular rail access has encouraged increasing residential development.
As of 2011, 3,900 people lived in Murarrie, their average age is 34 years. Most were born in Australia, New Zealand or England with notable minority born in South Africa, Fiji or Scotland. English was the key language spoken at home with second languages being Hindi and Mandarin.
