Macgregor (4109)
Located 12 km from Brisbane, Macgregor (4109) was named for William MacGregor, the Governor of Queensland from 1909 to1914. Macgregor has two schools, the high school being established in 1969, the primary school in 1972.
Macgregor’s 5600 residents are a diverse multicultural group as evidenced by the fact that a large percentage were born overseas, most commonly in Taiwan, India, China, and Vietnam. Other than English, Mandarin, Vietnamese, Cantonese, Greek, and Korean are also spoken at home.
