Wishart (4122)
Situated 14 km south-east of Brisbane, Wishart (4122) was originally on a stock route from farms south of Brisbane to the Saleyards at Canon Hill. The route was functional until the 1960s but was progressively encroached upon as land was developed into smaller blocks and eventually closed entirely when land was subdivided for residential building blocks. The Bulimba Creek flows through Wishart which has three schools.
In 2011, 10,500 people lived in wish art, their average age being 37 years. Residents are from a diverse range of backgrounds having been born in Australia, England, China, South Africa, India, and New Zealand. Cantonese, Greek, Korean, Hindi, and Mandarin were spoken second to English at home.
