Slacks Creek (4127)
Located 21 km to Brisbane’s south and parallel with the Pacific Motorway on the east, Slacks Creek (4127) was named for early settlers, the Slack family who ran cattle. It’s also home to IKEA’s third-largest store in the world, built in 2006.
In 2011, 10,400 people lived in Slacks Creek, their average age is 32 years. Most residents were Anglo-Australian with a minority from Samoa. English was the primary language spoken at home with Samoan and Hindi as secondary languages.
