25 km to Brisbane’s south, Regents Park (4118) is a mix of residential and parkland. To cater for its residents which tend to be young families, there are three schools, a large central shopping centre with supermarkets, retailers, and medical/community facilities, libraries, and a number of weekend markets for fresh produce. In 2011, 10700 people lived in Regents Park, their average age is 30 years. Residents are mainly Anglo-Australian with a minority from the Philippines, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Although English was spoken most at home, a Samoan, Serbian, and Spanish were also spoken as secondary languages.
