Nudgee (4014)
Located about 15 km to the north of Brisbane central, Nudgee (4014) became part of greater Brisbane 1925 and has regular rail and bus access to both Brisbane and its surrounding suburbs. It was one of the first suburbs to receive NBN and is known for its prestigious college which has produced graduates who have then gone on to notable, international careers. Nudgee also has Brisbane’s largest cemetery.
In 2011, 2900 people were resident, their average age being 37 years. Most were born in Australia, England or New Zealand, although there is a notable minority from India or Philippines so that Punjabi and Filipino are spoken by a few as a second language to English at home.
