Morayfield (4506)
On the Northside, 44km north of the Brisbane CBD, you will find the town of Morayfield, forming part of one of the suburbs of the Moreton Bay Region. Mostly residential area, Morayfield consists mainly of low-set brick homes and semi-rural acreage. Morayfield has continued to rapidly grow over the years and has an estimated population of over 19,000 people. With the Morayfield railway station in operation, it helps connect to other surrounding suburbs of Caboolture, Burpengary, Narangba and Dakabin, continuing its way into the heart of the Brisbane CBD.
Morayfield was one of the many suburbs flooded during the 2010-2011 QLD floods. ABIS uses pieces of equipment in the process of detecting high moisture e.g. Moisture meters which register high moisture readings and thermal imaging cameras which show evidence of moisture via its cooler thermal patterns with evaporation. An inspector will also probe all exposed timbers to test for its soundness.
