Middle Park (4074)
Located 14 km to Brisbane’s south-west, Middle Park (4074) was developed in 1976 as part of the Centenary suburbs. Middle Park is primarily residential, with a mix of a few stand alone older lowset brick homes on large blocks built in the 1980s and a predominance of moderate density townhouse complexes. It now has a school and a major shopping centre.
In 2011, 4000 people lived in Middle Park, their average age being 38 years. Although most residents were Anglo-Australian, a minority were from Sri Lanka, Vietnam, and China with Cantonese, Vietnamese, Mandarin, and Tamil spoken alongside English at home.
