Griffin (4503)
OIn the Northside, 24 km to Brisbane’s north, Griffin (4503) derives its name from a family who migrated to Australia from the Orkney Islands off Scotland’s coast. Griffin is residential with some agricultural land and recreational facilities along the Pine River together with an environmental centre.
In 2011, 2400 people lived in Griffin, their average age being 28 years. Most were Anglo-Australian with the exception of a minority from South Africa. Almost all spoke only English at home.
