Ferny Hills (4055)
On the Northside of Brisbane 18 km to the CBD’s north-west and on the border of the Brisbane Forest Park, Ferny Hills is primarily residential but was also known for its major tourist attraction, the Woolshed which featured Australian farming life but has since been redeveloped for residential housing. Ferny Hills has a number of primary schools, a high school and several convenience centres.
As of 2011, 8,700 people were resident, their average age being 36 years and most being Anglo-Australian, having been born in Australia, New Zealand or England so that English is predominantly spoken at home.
