Alderley (4051)
On the Northside, 7 km north and west of Brisbane city, Alderley (4051) derived its name from a village in England, and is one of the older, more established suburbs of Brisbane, with a post office since 1878, and a railway station since 1899. Trams were operational between 1949 and 1968. Today Alderley has warehouses, a police station and a shopping complex.
In 2011, 5700 people lived in Alderley, their average age being 33 years, with most being Anglo-Australian, although a minority were born in India. English was almost spoken solely at home with a minor exception of Nepali.
