East Ipswich (4305)
Located 39 km west of Brisbane, bordered in three directions by a bend in the the Bremer River and the main link to the Ipswich Motorway to its south, East Ipswich (4305) is one of Ipswich’s oldest inner residential suburbs and consists of an eclectic mix of small weatherboard and fibro cottages alongside large heritage residences and more recently moderate density townhouse complexes. Home to 2200 people in 2011, it also has a small community shopping centre, several schools and churches, a number of sporting clubs, and regular rail access to Ipswich and Brisbane.
