Located about 25 km Northside of Brisbane city. This relatively new suburb is developed around a golf course, and was designed for young families and includes parklands, schools, shops, medical centres and other facilities.
The population of North Lakes is approximately 17,000.and growing. Significantly a rail line from Petrie to Kippa-Ring is due for completion in 2016 to accommodate the increase in population in this area. The suburb has a number state and private primary, senior schools, and colleges as well as 6 child care centres. North Lakes is a relatively young, cosmopolitan suburb, the median age being 30.
