Any structures present in the yard identified as being imminent danger of collapse, must be reported in Section E3.1 of the report with a recommendation that the area be cordoned off.
The inspector should not leave the site until they are satisfied that the owner has been notified and that appropriate and immediate action is being take to manage the risk. If this is not possible the inspector should notify the local authority of the situation.
- Excessive rotation of retaining walls
- Inadequate structural support
- Significant fungal decay in structural timber members
- Excessive deformation
- Footing failure.
