What Happens When You Book
When Should I Organise My Inspection?
Please contact our Customer Service Team well in advance of listing your property so you're completely aware of the full condition of your house. You'll have time to rectify any problems discovered so you can sell your house for its best possible price quickly or you can simply reflect these in your price. Either way...your Pre-Sale Inspection helps you to stay in control of the sale of your house.
How We Make Sure Your Inspection Goes Smoothly:
Your Booking
We'll start by asking you a number of questions which, for your convenience, we keep to a minimum. Once we have all the information we need to successfully conduct your inspection, you can relax... we take care of everything for you.
Payment of Fees
We accept most methods of payment by phone while booking including Mastercard, Bankcard, VISA, American Express or Diners Club. We also accept Internet Transfer to our bank account. Rest assured, your payment is processed on the day of your inspection, once we have delivered your service.
Cancellations
We recognise that cancellations are sometimes unforeseen. Our policy is to make every effort not to burden you with avoidable expense, so if we are given a minimum of one full working day's notice we will not charge you for a cancellation or postponement.
If however, you cancel your inspection giving us less than one full working day's notice; regrettably a cancellation fee will apply.
Scheduling & Arranging Your Inspection
After booking with us, we go into action, contacting the sales agent you've been dealing with. We also organise the appointment with your inspector. And if the property is currently occupied by tenants we make sure that they are also given sufficient notice and agree to the proposed time.
Our Customer Service Team then continue to follow your inspection right through from booking to report delivery to ensure that everything goes smoothly for you.
We Value Your Time
Your time is very important to you, and that makes it important to us. Your inspector will do everything humanly possible to be on time and not keep you waiting. Our Customer Service Team will contact you if there are any alterations to your appointment.
Your Inspection
Your inspection which can take up to several hours depending on the type of inspection and style of building, consists of a systematic visual inspection of the building and the carrying out of tests.
You Are Welcome to Meet Your Inspector on Site
You are encouraged to meet your inspector on site. We simply ask that you arrange to meet on the property site 45 minutes from commencement of your inspection. This allows for your inspector to fully concentrate upon completing the most thorough inspection for you without the risk of missing any important details. If you are not able to meet your inspector on site, your inspector will telephone you later on the day of your inspection to discuss his findings with you and answer any questions you may have. You will also find your report easier to understand if you've seen the property first-hand through your inspector's eyes.
Please understand that your inspector will not provide quotations to repair any uncovered defects. This would represent a serious conflict of interest and should erode your confidence in your inspector's findings.
Preparing Your Report
Your inspector then produces your report which is professionally typed, bound and subjected to a quality assurance check. We insist that every report is seen by at least two pairs of eyes. Our Customer Service Team will endeavour to have your report ready for you by your required deadline and ensure that all your delivery instructions are carried out according to your wishes. Your report can be emailed and faxed to whomever and wherever you nominate as well as a hard copy being ready for pick-up or posting by close of the business day following your inspection.
Once you have your report, you are welcome to contact your inspector whose name and contact number will be in your report to discuss any further concerns you may have.
