Pool Safety Inspections
Since December 2010 there have been big changes to pool safety and pool fencing legislation throughout Queensland for ALL existing swimming pools.
- Do you have a non-climbable 1200mm high pool fence?
- Do you have a highset home with a deck overlooking your pool?
- Do you have a doorway from your house to your pool?
- Are there climbable trees next to your pool fence?
- Do your pool gates close automatically from any position?
Confused... now you can relax. ABIS are dedicated to providing outstanding service with a team of fully trained, Government licensed and insured pool fencing inspectors who come with years of inspection experience.
Whether you're a seller, buyer, landlord or someone who wants peace of mind... just call ABIS to ensure your pool fence is compliant.
Pool Safety Inspections
Pool Safety... seriously
For sellers... the Queensland Government has made it necessary, from 1st December 2010, for sellers to arrange a Pool Safety Inspection and obtain a Compliance Certificate to confirm your pool fence complies with new Pool Safety Legislation... or disclose to buyers and the CEO of the Pool Safety Council. Now you can get a Pre-Sale Pool Safety Inspection as soon as you list or even better, before you list.
For buyers... if you accept responsibility for getting the Certificate you have until 90 days post settlement to make the pool fence compliant.
For landlords... A Pool Safety Certificate will be required at the first new or renewed accomodation agreement or lease signed after 8th July 2011.
Once a Pool Safety Inspector has been engageged, the 90 day reinspection period still applies.
Note:
Shared pools associated with short term accomodation must have a Pool Safety Certificate by 31st May 2011.
Shared pools associated with long term accomodation must have a Pool Safety Certificate by 30th November 2012.
Shared pools associated with mixed accomodation (long and short term) must have a Pool Safety Certificate by 30th November 2012.
Whoever you are...
ABIS offer Pool Safety Inspections...
- Pre-Sale if you're selling your home
- Pre- Purchase with your Building & Timber Pest Inspection to make things easy
- Post-Settlement if you've just bought a home
- for Landlords
- any homeowner anytime if you've decided to stay put & want peace of mind
And who better to conduct a pool fence inspection than a trained, licensed & insured pool inspector... who is also a building inspector & with a company which for the last 16 years has concentrated on doing only one thing well... inspections!
So you can be assured that our pool fence advice and recommendations are completely impartial and not a lead to selling products such as pool chemicals or even pool fencing itself!
