Parquetry
A Parquetry Floor is a wooden floor made from many pieces of wood fitted together like a geometric mosaic or puzzle. Frequently, parquetry is made from different types of wood with varying grains, to create a unique and eye catching pattern. The two main uses of parquetry are as veneer patterns on furniture and block patterns for flooring. Parquetry patterns are entirely geometrical and angular i.e. squares, triangles or lozenges. The most popular parquetry flooring pattern is herringbone.
