Improving energy efficiency through passive design
Passively designed homes via orientation, optimising cross ventilation and using solar design features can significantly reduce the need for mechanical heating or cooling. Energy savings may be further enhanced through use of energy saving products including lights, tinted windows, insulation products, gap sealant, energy efficient appliances and solar or gas hot water systems.
