Library
The ABIS library is a collection of useful reference material relating to buildings and their problems as well as timber pests such as termites.
The library is a combination of material written by ABIS as a result of our own research and practical experience together with useful information gleaned from other authoritative sources.
Double Hung Window
A Double Hung Window consists of two sashes or movable panels operating in a rectangular frame which, when both are closed, are positioned one immediately above the other. These panels can be vertically slid up and down in tracks, but are kept from dropping to the sill by counterweights attached by cords or chains, springs or balances and concealed in the window casing.
