The ABIS library is a collection of useful reference material relating to buildings and their problems as well as timber pests such as termites.

The library is a combination of material written by ABIS as a result of our own research and practical experience together with useful information gleaned from other authoritative sources.

 

Bottom Plate

A Bottom Plate is the piece of timber which sits on the floor and forms the bottom of the wall, carrying the stud loads to the floor joists.
